1st Technical Workshop

Back to back after the first annual consortium was held the 1st Technical Workshop of SENERGY NETS on 28 September.

The project coordinator Guillaume Bardeau, EIFER, opened the workshop with a brief overview of the project objectives and methodology.

Afterwards, Jay Bagalkote, CyberGrid, introduced the use cases, the different set-ups of sector coupling energy technologies that are considered in SENERGY NETS as means to decarbonise the heat and power sectors.

The importance of the use cases was showcased through their application to the project pilots. Claudia Vannuchi, EIFER, presented the Paris demo, Jay Bagalkote, CyberGrid, gave talked about the demonstrator in Ljubljana and Alessandro Cirocco, A2A, explained about the Milan demo.

Following the discussion part, Edoardo Corsetti, RSE, provided a thorough introduction to the central concepts of sector integration and multi energy systems and the flexibility model applied in the project.

Before the end, the guest speaker, Stephane Pouffary, CEO at ENERGIES2050, presented the sibling project FEDECOM, marking the first occasion of the synergy with SENERGY NETS.

The workshop was held in a hybrid format and attended by 50 people in total. It took place physically at Fondazione AEM of Gruppo A2A, in Milan Italy, hosted by A2A and Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico (RSE).
